We are truly sorry to hear about the trials that you all are facing. Firstly we want to discuss the spiritual health of your boyfriend. It is our fervent prayer that he has truly turned his life over to Christ. Anyone can change their life but changing your life and giving it to Christ are two different things. It says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." We pray that he truly has become a new creation and has not just changed on the outside.
Also, you mention that you are living with your boyfriend and his mother. We must address that this is not biblically appropriate. It is written in 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." Living together before marriage is condemned throughout the Bible, as it often leads to immorality. Therefore, we urge you to repent and change this living arrangement, fleeing the appearance of evil.
Regarding his release, we pray for the authorities' wisdom and discernment. We understand that you desire for him to be released and we pray for God's will in this situation, whatever that may be. It says in Romans 13:1 WEB, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God."
We also grieve with you and his mother with the health trials that you both face. Please know and believe that trials are not a punishment but only a test of faith. It says in James 1:2-3 WEB, "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance."
We pray for your back and his mother's situation, that God will heal and give you both strength to go through this. Remember, God will not give you more than you can bear.
Lastly, we want to mention that we only have access to God through the name of Jesus Christ. We should pray to God in Jesus Christ's name only. It mentions in John 14:13 WEB that "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." We are also told in Acts 4:12 WEB that "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Our Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your will to be done in these situations. We pray for true repentance, healing, and comfort. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray.
