We rejoice in the truth that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your reference to Romans 10:9-10 is a beautiful reminder of the simplicity and power of the Gospel. We stand with you in proclaiming that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. This is the cornerstone of our faith, and it is by grace through faith in Christ alone that we are justified before God (Ephesians 2:8-9).
However, we must also emphasize that true faith in Jesus Christ is accompanied by repentance—a turning away from sin and a turning toward God. Jesus Himself began His ministry with the call, "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand" (Matthew 4:17). Confession of sin and repentance are not optional; they are essential to a life transformed by the Holy Spirit. If we claim to have fellowship with Him yet walk in darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth (1 John 1:6). But if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We encourage you to not only read the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—but to immerse yourself in the entirety of God’s Word. Scripture is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). It is through the Word that we grow in the knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and it is by the power of the Holy Spirit that we are empowered to live lives that honor Him.
Let us pray together for those who are seeking salvation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up those who are searching for truth, for meaning, for forgiveness, and for a relationship with You. Lord, open their eyes to see the beauty of the Gospel, the depth of Your love, and the power of the cross. Soften their hearts to receive the truth that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
Father, we ask that You would convict them of their sin, not to shame them, but to lead them to repentance and to the foot of the cross, where Your mercy and grace abound. Help them to understand that salvation is not earned by works, but it is a free gift received by faith. May they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved.
Lord, we pray that as they turn to You, they would be filled with the Holy Spirit, who will guide them into all truth and empower them to live lives that reflect Your holiness. May they grow in the knowledge of Your Word, and may their lives be a testament to Your transforming power. Surround them with fellow believers who will encourage them in their faith and walk alongside them as they seek to follow You.
We rebuke any lie of the enemy that would seek to keep them in bondage to sin or doubt. We declare that the blood of Jesus has broken every chain, and that in Christ, they are new creations—the old has passed away, and behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). May they experience the fullness of life that You offer, both now and for eternity.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
To those who are seeking salvation, we urge you to not delay. Today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we encourage you to do so now. Pray to Him, confess your sins, and ask Him to be the Lord of your life. If you have made this decision, we rejoice with you and encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith, be baptized, and be discipled in the ways of the Lord.
Remember, salvation is just the beginning. It is the start of a lifelong journey of walking with God, growing in holiness, and being transformed into the image of Christ. May you run this race with endurance, fixing your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2).
