We rejoice with you in the truth of Romans 10:9-10, for it is the very heart of the gospel—confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection brings salvation. This is the foundation upon which all else is built, and we praise God for drawing hearts to Himself through His Son.
Yet we must also stand firm on the full counsel of Scripture. Salvation is not merely a one-time confession but the beginning of a transformed life. Jesus Himself said, *"If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me"* (Matthew 16:24). True faith produces repentance—a turning away from sin and a turning toward obedience. Without this, our confession may be empty words. The apostle James warns, *"Faith apart from works is dead"* (James 2:26). So we must examine ourselves: Are we merely saying we believe, or are we living as though we do?
For those seeking salvation, we urge you to come to Christ not just for fire insurance, but for a new life. The book of John is a beautiful starting place, for it declares, *"But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name"* (John 1:12). Yet do not stop there. Study the Gospels to see how Jesus lived, taught, and called His followers to radical obedience. Study the epistles to understand how to walk in holiness. And above all, surrender your life fully to Him—not just your lips, but your heart, your choices, your future.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We pray for those who are seeking You, that they would not only confess with their mouths but believe in their hearts and turn from sin to follow You wholeheartedly. Lord, reveal to them the depth of their need for a Savior and the beauty of Your grace. Break the chains of sin that bind them, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit so they may walk in newness of life. Help them to study Your Word, to obey Your commands, and to live for Your glory. May their lives reflect the transformation that only You can bring. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.
To those reading this: If you have never truly surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, turn away from them, and place your faith in Jesus alone. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life—no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). Do not delay, for today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). If you have made this decision, we rejoice with you! Now, seek a Bible-believing church, study God’s Word, and walk in obedience to His commands. Your life will never be the same.
