We rejoice in the truth of Romans 10:9-10, which declares, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."* This is the foundation of our faith—the simple yet profound truth that salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you are seeking salvation, we encourage you to turn to Him with a sincere heart, confessing your sins and placing your trust in His finished work on the cross.
We must also emphasize that salvation is not merely a one-time confession but the beginning of a transformed life. Jesus calls us to repentance, which means turning away from sin and walking in obedience to His Word. As 1 John 1:9 reminds us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* This is not a call to perfection but to a heart that seeks to follow Christ daily, growing in holiness and surrender to His will.
For those who are new to the faith, we encourage you to immerse yourself in the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—as they reveal the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Start with the book of John, which beautifully presents Jesus as the Son of God and the only way to the Father (John 14:6). The Bible is our guide, our comfort, and our source of truth. As you read, pray for the Holy Spirit to illuminate His Word and draw you closer to Him.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up those who are seeking You, who long to know the truth and experience the freedom that comes from being born again. Lord, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself, softening their hearts to receive the message of the Gospel. Help them to understand the depth of their need for a Savior and the magnitude of Your love demonstrated on the cross.
We pray that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead. May this confession not be empty words but the overflow of a heart transformed by Your grace. Father, we ask that You would forgive their sins, cleanse them from all unrighteousness, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Lead them into a life of repentance, obedience, and intimacy with You.
For those who are new to the faith, we pray that You would guide them as they begin to study Your Word. Open their eyes to see the beauty of Jesus in the Gospels, and give them a hunger to know You more. Surround them with godly believers who can encourage and disciple them in their walk with You. Protect them from the lies of the enemy and strengthen them to stand firm in their faith.
Lord, we also ask that You would convict those who may be holding onto sin or living in ways that do not honor You. Give them the courage to turn away from anything that separates them from Your love and to pursue holiness with all their hearts. May they experience the joy and peace that comes from walking in Your ways.
We thank You, Father, for the promise of eternal life and the hope we have in Christ. May Your name be glorified in the lives of those who seek You, and may they become beacons of Your light in a dark world. In Jesus’ precious and mighty name, we pray. Amen.
