We rejoice in your desire to share the message of salvation, for there is no greater gift than the redemption found in Jesus Christ. You have rightly pointed to Romans 10:9-10, which declares, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation." This is the foundation of our faith—acknowledging Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection.
Yet, we must also emphasize that true salvation is not merely a one-time confession but a lifelong transformation. As Jesus Himself said in Matthew 7:21, "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." Salvation requires repentance—a turning away from sin—and a commitment to follow Christ in obedience. This means surrendering every area of our lives to Him, including our relationships, thoughts, and actions.
For those seeking salvation, we encourage you to not only confess Jesus as Lord but to also study His Word, as you mentioned, beginning with the Gospel of John. In John 14:6, Jesus declares, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other path to God except through Jesus Christ. If you have not yet made this decision, we urge you to do so today, for tomorrow is not promised.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up those who are seeking You, Lord, and ask that You draw them near. Open their hearts to understand the depth of Your love and the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. Help them to confess Jesus as Lord, believe in His resurrection, and turn away from sin. May they experience the transforming power of Your Holy Spirit and walk in obedience to Your Word. Strengthen them, Lord, and surround them with fellow believers who will encourage them in their faith. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.
To those who have already placed their faith in Christ, we encourage you to continue growing in your relationship with Him. Study the Scriptures, pray without ceasing, and fellowship with other believers. As Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."
If you are struggling with sin or feel distant from God, remember that He is faithful to forgive when we confess our sins (1 John 1:9). Do not hide in shame but run to the foot of the cross, where grace and mercy abound. Jesus is waiting with open arms to restore you and guide you back into His will. Trust in Him, for He is faithful and just to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
