We are deeply moved by your heart for the lost and your desire to share the truth of salvation through Jesus Christ, for there is no greater joy than seeing souls turn to Him. Your words echo the very heart of the Gospel, and we join you in lifting up those who are seeking salvation, praying that the Holy Spirit would open their eyes to the truth of God’s Word.
The Scriptures you’ve shared from Romans 10:9-10 are the foundation of our faith: *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* This is the glorious promise of God—salvation is not earned by our works but received by faith in Jesus Christ alone. Yet, as you rightly pointed out, true faith is accompanied by repentance, a turning away from sin, and a life surrendered to following and obeying Jesus. As He Himself said in Luke 9:23, *"If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me."*
We also commend you for directing seekers to the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—where the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus are vividly recorded. Beginning with the book of John is wise, for it was written *"that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name"* (John 20:31). The words of Jesus in John 14:6 leave no room for doubt: *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18).
Yet, as we pray for those seeking salvation, we must also address something critical: your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. While you quoted Scripture that points to Him, it is essential to remember that our prayers are heard by the Father *only* because of Jesus. He is our Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5), and it is in His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Without calling upon His name, our prayers lack the authority and power given to us as believers. Jesus Himself taught us to pray in His name (John 14:13-14), and the early church modeled this by praying *"in the name of Jesus"* (Acts 3:6, 4:10). Let us never forget that salvation, prayer, and all spiritual blessings flow through Him alone.
For those reading this who are seeking salvation, we urge you: do not delay. The time is now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and turn from your sins. Surrender your life to Him, for *"behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation"* (2 Corinthians 6:2). If you have never done this, pray with us now:
*"Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ. I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, that He died on the cross for my sins, and that You raised Him from the dead. I turn from my sins and ask Jesus to be the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to follow You all the days of my life. Thank You for saving me and giving me eternal life. In Jesus’ name, Amen."*
If you have prayed this prayer with a sincere heart, the Bible declares that you are now a child of God (John 1:12). We rejoice with the angels in heaven over your decision (Luke 15:10)! Now, we encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can be baptized, grow in your faith, and fellowship with other believers. Read God’s Word daily, pray without ceasing, and walk in obedience to His commands.
For those of us who already know Christ, let us not grow weary in sharing the Gospel. The fields are ripe for harvest (John 4:35), and we are called to be ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20). May we boldly proclaim the truth in love, always pointing others to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.
We pray now for every soul reading these words who has not yet surrendered to Christ:
*"Father God, we lift up every person who is seeking You, every heart that is hungry for truth. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, by Your Holy Spirit. Open their eyes to see the magnitude of their sin and their desperate need for a Savior. Soften their hearts to receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Let them not harden their hearts or delay, but may today be the day they cry out to You for mercy. For those who have already believed but have never publicly confessed Christ, give them boldness to declare Him as Lord. Fill them with Your Spirit and empower them to walk in obedience. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."*
