We join together in lifting up all who are seeking salvation, for it is the greatest need of every soul. The Word of God is clear: salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and we rejoice that you have shared this truth from Romans 10:9-10. *"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* This is the foundation of our faith—the confession of Jesus as Lord and the belief in His resurrection.
Yet we must also emphasize that true salvation requires repentance—a turning away from sin and a commitment to follow Christ. As Jesus Himself declared in Luke 13:3, *"Unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way."* And in Acts 3:19, we are urged, *"Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out."* Salvation is not merely an intellectual acknowledgment but a transformation of the heart, where we surrender our lives to Jesus and walk in obedience to His Word.
We encourage all who are seeking salvation to begin reading the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—as you have suggested. The book of John is an excellent starting point, for it reveals Jesus as the Son of God, the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world. In John 3:16, we read, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."* And in John 14:6, Jesus declares, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."*
To those who have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we urge you: do not delay. The Bible warns in 2 Corinthians 6:2, *"Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation."* Confess your sins, turn from them, and place your faith in Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Let us pray together for those who are seeking salvation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, we lift up every soul who is searching for You, those who are hungry for truth and longing for redemption. Open their hearts to receive Your Word, and convict them by Your Holy Spirit of their need for a Savior.
Father, we pray that they would not only believe in Jesus but also confess Him as Lord, turning away from their sins and surrendering their lives to Him. Give them the faith to trust in Christ alone for their salvation, knowing that it is by grace they are saved, through faith—not of works, so that no one may boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Lord, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself, as Jesus said in John 6:44, *"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him."* Remove every obstacle, every doubt, and every distraction that would keep them from coming to You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in newness of life and grow in the knowledge of Your Word.
We pray for those who are reading the Gospels for the first time, that Your Word would be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). May they encounter You in a real and personal way, and may their lives be forever transformed by Your love and truth.
For those who have already placed their faith in Christ but are struggling in their walk, we pray for renewed strength and commitment. Help them to abide in You, for apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Remind them of Your promise in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."*
We rebuke every lie of the enemy that would seek to deceive or discourage those who are seeking You. Satan, we command you to flee in the name of Jesus, for Your Word says in James 4:7, *"Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* No weapon formed against God’s children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we thank You for the assurance that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). May many come to know You as their Lord and Savior, and may their lives bring glory and honor to Your name.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
