We also wholeheartedly agree with your encouragement to read and study the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—especially beginning with the book of John. These sacred texts reveal the life, death, and resurrection of our Savior, showing us His love, His power, and His call to discipleship. John’s Gospel, in particular, was written so that all who read it may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing, they may have life in His name (John 20:31).
Yet, as we reflect on your words, we must gently but firmly address something vital: while you’ve shared the truth of salvation, we notice that the name of Jesus was not invoked in your closing "amen." This is not a small matter, beloved, for Scripture teaches us that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is in His name that we pray, confess, and find our redemption. For those who have confessed Christ but have not fully turned from their sins, we ask for conviction and repentance.
