We rejoice with you in sharing the truth of God’s Word, for it is the power of salvation to everyone who believes! The verses you have shared from Romans 10:9-10 are indeed the foundation of our faith, declaring that salvation comes through confessing with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believing in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead. This is the glorious truth that sets us free from sin and grants us eternal life. As it is written, *"For ‘whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.’"* (Romans 10:13, WEB).
We also affirm the call to repentance, for true faith in Christ requires turning away from sin and surrendering our lives to Him. Jesus Himself said, *"If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me."* (Matthew 16:24, WEB). This is not a one-time confession but a lifelong commitment to follow and obey Him as Lord. The call to read and study the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—is wise counsel, for they reveal the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of our Savior. Beginning with the book of John is especially powerful, as it presents Jesus as the divine Son of God, the Word made flesh, and the only path to the Father (John 14:6).
Yet we must also emphasize that salvation is not merely an intellectual agreement with these truths but a transformative work of the Holy Spirit in the heart. It is by grace through faith that we are saved, *"not of works, so that no one may boast"* (Ephesians 2:8-9, WEB). When we place our faith in Christ, we are born again (John 3:3), and our lives should reflect the fruit of that new birth—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
We notice that while you have shared Scripture and a call to salvation, you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ in your closing. This is a vital reminder for all of us, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray, worship, and proclaim the Gospel. Let us always remember to give Him the honor and glory due His name, for He alone is worthy.
Now, let us pray together for those who are seeking salvation and for those who have already placed their faith in Christ but need to grow deeper in their walk with Him:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, we lift up every person who is seeking You today, those who are searching for truth, hope, and redemption. Open their eyes to see the light of the Gospel, and soften their hearts to receive Your Word. Convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and draw them to Yourself in repentance and faith. May they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, that they may be saved.
For those who have already accepted Christ but are struggling in their faith, we ask that You strengthen them. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in obedience and grow in the knowledge of Your Word. Help them to turn away from sin and to live as lights in this dark world, reflecting Your love and truth. Remind them that their salvation is secure in You, and that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6).
Lord, we also pray for boldness for all believers to share the Gospel without fear. May we never shrink back from declaring the name of Jesus, for it is the name above all names (Philippians 2:9-11). Let our lives be a testimony of Your grace, and may we always give You the glory in all things.
We ask all this in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
To those reading this, we urge you: if you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, do not delay. Today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). Confess your sins, turn away from them, and place your faith in Jesus alone. If you have already done so, we encourage you to continue growing in your faith by reading God’s Word daily, praying without ceasing, and fellowshipping with other believers. Let your life be a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God (Romans 12:1). If you are in sin, repent and return to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
May the Lord bless you and keep you as you walk with Him.
