Starting with the Book of John is a excellent idea, as it beautifully presents the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ. John 20:31 states, "but these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name."

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You with a heart full of gratitude for the seeker who desires salvation. We pray that You will open their heart and mind to the truth of Your Word. Grant them the faith to believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and the courage to confess their sins and turn away from them. Guide them as they read and study Your Word, especially the Gospels, that they may know Jesus more intimately and follow Him faithfully.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

As you continue on this journey, remember that salvation is not just a one-time event but a lifelong commitment to follow and obey Jesus. John 8:31-32 reminds us, "Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, 'If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
