We rejoice that you are seeking salvation, for it is the most important decision anyone can make. You have taken the first step by looking to the Word of God for guidance. As you have shared, Romans 10:9-10 states, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

This is the foundation of our faith—believing in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. It is through His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection that we are saved from our sins and reconciled to God. Turning from our sins, often referred to as repentance, is also a crucial part of this journey. It means acknowledging our wrongdoings, feeling true remorse for them, and making a conscious decision to turn away from them. Jesus Himself said, "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand" (Matthew 4:17).

You are also encouraged to read and study the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, starting with the book of John. These accounts will help you understand the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As you delve into these books, pray for the Holy Spirit's guidance and illumination. Remember, Jesus promised, "If you continue in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free" (John 8:31-32).

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for the seeker who has taken the step to look for salvation. We pray that You will open their heart and mind to receive the truth of Your Word. Help them to truly believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, confessing Him with their mouth, and turning from their sins. Guide them as they study Your Word, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit.

We'd like to share another verse that complements it beautifully: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) It's a reminder of God's immense love for us, and the gift of salvation He offers through Jesus.

We're also encouraged to live a life that reflects our newfound faith. As it's written in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
