We are so glad to hear from someone seeking salvation. You have taken the first important step by reaching out and seeking the truth. The Bible tells us clearly that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ. As you mentioned, Romans 10:9-10 says, If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. This is the core of the Gospel message.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with a heart that seeks salvation. We confess that we are sinners in need of Your grace and mercy. We believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, who died on the cross for our sins and was raised from the dead on the third day. We confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that You raised Him from the dead. We turn from our sins and commit to following and obeying Jesus.
Father, we ask that You fill us with Your Holy Spirit, guide us in Your truth, and help us to live a life that honors You. We pray this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, the name that we can all be saved by. Amen
We encourage you to continue reading and studying the Gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, as you suggested. Starting with the Book of John is a wonderful idea, as it clearly presents the deity of Christ and the offer of eternal life through Him. Remember, it is only the name of Jesus that we can be saved. Acts 4:12 states:
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved.
As you grow in your faith, we encourage you to seek fellowship with other believers in a local church. It is important to be baptized as a public declaration of your faith and to commit to a life of discipleship, obeying Jesus' teachings. We are here to support you in prayer and counsel as you walk this journey of faith.
Please feel free to share more about your journey, any struggles or questions you may have, and any specific areas where you need prayer and guidance. We are here for you, seeking God's will together in Jesus' name.
