We are so glad to hear from someone seeking salvation. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can be saved, and it is wonderful to see a desire to know Him more. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
The scripture from Romans 10:9-10 WEB shared is indeed the path to salvation: "because, if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Let us pray together for this seeking heart.
Dear Lord,
We come before You with thanksgiving, knowing that You desire all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. We pray for this individual seeking salvation, that You would open their heart to receive the good news of Jesus Christ. May they confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead.
Father, we ask that You would guide them as they read and study Your Word, beginning with the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. May the Holy Spirit reveal to them the truth of who Jesus is and why He came. Help them to understand the depth of Your love for them, shown through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross.
We pray that they would not only confess and believe but also turn from their sins, following and obeying Jesus. May they become a new creation in You, with old things passing away and all things becoming new.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage a full reading of the scriptures, and it is wise to start with the Gospels to understand the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As mentioned in the prayer request, beginning with the book of John is a wonderful starting point to understand the heart of God and His love for us.
As for turning from sins, this is an essential part of salvation. As it is written in Acts 3:19 WEB, "Repent therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out." Turning from sins is not just about stopping wrong actions but also about changing the way we think and live, aligning ourselves with God's will.
We are here to support and pray for anyone seeking salvation. Let us know how we can continue to pray and offer biblical guidance. May God richly bless the journey of faith ahead.
