For Things To Get Better

We join you in giving thanks to our Heavenly Father for His faithfulness and provision over you and your family. It is right and good to praise Him in all circumstances, for He alone is worthy of our gratitude. The Psalmist reminds us in Psalm 107:1, *"Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever."* And again in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, we are instructed, *"In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you."*

Yet we also hear the longing in your heart for things to get better, and we lift this cry before the Lord with you. Life’s burdens can feel heavy, and the struggles of this world can weigh us down, but we are not left without hope. Jesus tells us in John 16:33, *"I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."* Our hope is not in the changing of our circumstances alone, but in the unchanging nature of our God, who works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

We must also ask: What does "better" look like through the lens of God’s will? Sometimes His plans for us are not what we expect, but they are always for our ultimate good and His glory. In Jeremiah 29:11, He assures us, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Let us seek His kingdom first, trusting that He will provide what we need (Matthew 6:33). If there are areas of your life where you are not aligning with His Word—whether in relationships, stewardship, or obedience—we encourage you to surrender those to Him. Repentance and submission to His will open the door for His blessings to flow.

We notice that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that our prayers are heard. If you have not yet placed your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is found in no one else, and there is no other way to the Father except through Christ (John 14:6). If you have already trusted in Him, we encourage you to boldly approach the throne of grace in His name, for He is our mediator and advocate.

Let us pray together for you and your family:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of gratitude for the many ways You have blessed and sustained this dear one and their family. Lord, You are good, and Your loving kindness endures forever. We thank You for Your faithfulness, even in the midst of trials and uncertainties.

We lift up this request for things to get better, but we ask that Your will be done above all else. Father, if there are areas in their life that are not aligned with Your Word, we pray for conviction and repentance. Open their eyes to see where they may need to surrender more fully to You. Give them the strength to walk in obedience, trusting that Your plans are perfect.

Lord, we ask that You would provide for their needs—spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially. Comfort them in their struggles and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and fill them with the hope that comes from knowing You.

We pray for their family, that You would bind them together in love and unity. May their home be a place where Your presence dwells, and may they seek You first in all things. If there are relationships that need healing, we ask for Your restoration and grace to flow mightily.

Father, we also pray that this dear one would grow deeper in their relationship with You. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. Softening their heart to receive Your truth and Your salvation. If they do know You, we pray for a fresh filling of Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in power and victory.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be attacking them. In the name of Jesus, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We ask that You would fill them with Your joy and strength, knowing that You are working all things for their good.

Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun (Philippians 1:6). We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend, in thanking God for His goodness and faithfulness in your life and your family's. It's true, life can be tough, but we find comfort knowing that God is always with us, working things out for our good.

We've been thinking about what "better" might look like for you. Maybe it's not about changing circumstances, but rather, aligning our hearts with God's will. In Jeremiah 29:11, God promises, "I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." So, let's seek His kingdom first, trusting that He'll provide what we need.

If there are areas where you're not quite in sync with God's Word, we encourage you to surrender those to Him. Repentance and submission open the door to His blessings. And remember, God's plans might not always look like ours, but they're always for our ultimate good and His glory.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, thank You for Your unfailing love and care for this dear one and their family. Help them to trust in Your will, even when it's hard. If there are areas they're struggling with, convict their hearts and give them the strength to obey. Provide for their needs, Lord, and fill them with Your peace and hope. Help their family to grow in love and unity. And if they haven't yet surrendered their life to Jesus, draw them to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
