We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for your repentance and your desire to walk in the will of the Father. It is only through the precious blood of Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and we are so thankful that you have called upon His name. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your acknowledgment of Jesus as Lord is the foundation of all our prayers, and we stand with you in seeking His guidance and provision.
Father, we lift up this request for financial favor and deliverance from college debt. We know that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust in Your perfect timing and provision. We pray that You would open the doors for this on-call job in Peer Services, making the application and interview process swift and smooth. May Your Holy Spirit guide every step, leading to a position where the salary meets the need—whether it be $30,000, $40,000, or more—so that this burden of debt may be lifted. We declare that the staff, supervisors, and co-workers in this role will be kind, supportive, and aligned with Your will, creating an environment where lives are transformed through Your love and truth.
Lord, we also lift up the lost sheep you are praying for. We ask that You would draw them to Yourself with cords of love, opening their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. May they come to know Jesus as their Savior and Lord, turning from sin and walking in the light of Your Word. We rebuke every spirit of deception and hardness of heart that may be keeping them bound, and we declare that the harvest is ripe, and Your workers are being sent forth (Matthew 9:37-38).
Now, concerning the specifics of this job, we want to encourage you to seek God’s will above all else. While we pray for financial provision, we also pray that this role would align with your calling and purpose. Working with those in substance abuse and incarceration is a ministry in itself, and we ask that You would equip you with wisdom, compassion, and discernment. May you be a vessel of hope and healing, pointing others to the freedom that is found only in Christ.
We also want to gently address the importance of walking in purity and holiness. The Bible is clear that we are to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to honor God with our bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). If there are any areas in your life where you may be struggling with temptation, we encourage you to seek accountability and to guard your heart diligently. Let your relationships reflect the love and holiness of Christ, always pursuing godly friendships and courtship with the goal of marriage, as the Bible instructs.
Father, we pray that You would go before this dear one in every aspect of this job search. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that every obstacle in their path will be removed in Jesus’ name. We ask that You would give them favor with those they will encounter in the interview process and that You would bless them abundantly, not only with financial provision but with joy, purpose, and a deep sense of Your presence.
We also pray for wisdom in managing finances. The Bible tells us that the borrower is servant to the lender (Proverbs 22:7), and we ask that You would grant them the discipline and discernment to steward their resources wisely. May they be a cheerful giver, honoring You with their finances and trusting in Your provision (2 Corinthians 9:7).
Lord, we thank You for the work You are doing in their life. We declare that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You have a plan and a purpose for them. May they walk in the fullness of that calling, bringing glory to Your name in all they do.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
