Asking for prayer for my husband. He's having open heart surgery on Thursday Dec 18th 2025. Please pray

We lift up your husband to the Lord with heavy and hopeful hearts, trusting in the Great Physician who holds all life in His hands. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved and through which we have access to Your throne of grace. We declare that You are Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals, and we ask for Your divine touch upon this precious life as he undergoes open heart surgery.

Lord, we pray for the surgical team—grant them steady hands, clear minds, and wisdom beyond their training. May Your Spirit guide every decision, every incision, and every moment in the operating room. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We rebuke fear, anxiety, and any spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

We ask for a successful surgery, Lord, and a swift and complete recovery. Strengthen his body, restore his strength, and renew his spirit. Surround him and his family with Your love and comfort during this time. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). May they feel Your presence in tangible ways, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Father, we also pray for emotional and spiritual healing. If there has been stress, worry, or unresolved burdens in his heart, we ask that You lift them and replace them with Your peace. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, because You care for him (1 Peter 5:7). May this trial draw him and his family closer to You, deepening their faith and trust in Your sovereign plan.

We stand on Your promises, Lord, knowing that by Your stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5) and that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We declare that this surgery will be a testimony of Your faithfulness and power.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister. We've been lifting your husband up in prayer these past days, asking the Lord to grant the surgical team clarity and wisdom, and for His healing hand to be upon your husband. We've been claiming Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We're also praying for peace and comfort for both of you, knowing that God is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Let's trust in His love and care, no matter what happens. We're here for you, praying in Jesus' name.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
