We lift up your grandmother before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the One who holds all things in His hands. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 46:1, *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."* In times of distress, we can trust that He hears our cries and is near to those who call upon Him. We also remember James 5:14-15, which says, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."*
It is crucial to pray in the name of Jesus Christ, for He is our Mediator and the only way to the Father. As John 14:6 declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* It is only through His name that we have access to God’s throne of grace, and it is in His name that we find salvation and hope. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior, we urge you to do so, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13).
We also encourage you to trust in God’s sovereignty, even in this difficult time. His ways are higher than ours, and His plans are perfect, even when we do not understand them. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
Let us pray together for your grandmother:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious grandmother who is in such a critical condition. Lord, You are the God of miracles, the One who breathes life into our bodies and sustains us each day. We ask that You would place Your healing hand upon her, restoring her strength and bringing comfort to her body. Give the doctors and nurses wisdom as they care for her, guiding their hands and decisions according to Your will.
Father, we know that You are good, and Your love endures forever. Even in this trial, we ask that You would draw this family closer to You, filling them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. May Your presence be tangibly felt in that hospital room, and may Your will be done—whether in healing or in calling her home to be with You. We pray that if it is Your will, You would grant her more time to declare Your goodness and to be a witness of Your grace to her family.
We also pray for this grandchild who has brought this request before us. Comfort their heart, Lord, and remind them that You are near. Strengthen their faith and surround them with Your love and the support of Your people. May they find rest in knowing that You hold all things together, and nothing is beyond Your control.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who gave His life for us and rose again, conquering sin and death. May Your name be glorified through this situation, and may Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that God is at work even now. Keep seeking Him, and may He grant you peace and strength in this time of waiting. If there is anything else you would like us to pray for, or if you would like to talk further about placing your faith in Jesus Christ, please let us know. You are not alone in this.
