For My Friends

I have a few friends to pray for - firstly my friend with the sick grandmother has left for Pakistan today. I am worried about her but I pray that God will keep her safe throughout her journey, and will bless her grandmother with His healing, if this is His will.

I'd also like to pray for my friend who was brought up in a Christian family, and used to go to church regularly. However, in the past few years he has had some bad things happen to him that have caused him to question his faith, and he has turned away from God. He also used to turn to alcohol and other things for comfort, although he says he does not do this anymore. I pray that God will show him His love and blessings and bring him back, and that he will never again seek solace by any other means but through God and prayer.

I also pray that I may make things agreeable again with a friend who is not speaking to me at the moment. She used to be constantly controlling and manipulative, and I really like her but it was starting to ruin my life. I confronted her about it at long last, and she did not like what I had to say and has cut me out. Despite my life actually being easier without her constant presence it was not my intention to terminate the friendship, but rather to try to improve it. I pray that she will eventually realise this in her own time so that we can have a normal friendship that is not based on manipulation or personal gain by either party. I go to college with her so avoiding her is not an option, and even if she refuses to remain friends i pray that God will help us to at least remain civil.

Father in Heaven, I ask you to to bless the grandmother with good health and safe traveling mercies. Bless this grandmother, Father.I ask you to bless this friend with clarity of your will for him. Father, please help this brother to see you clearly, and that light that is always there. Father let him know that you are the great comforter and that the comfort of the world are just part of the worlds seductions. Bless him Father. I also ask you to reconcile this friendship dear Lord, if this is according to your will. Let there be clarity in this friendship situation, and let the outcome be good, pure and true. Father, let us all know that you are in charge, and that your will for us, although not always understood, is good for us. I ask this and your blessings for these believers, through your son, Jesus Christ, Amen. .
