Our hearts ache with you as we lift up your precious little girl and your family before the Lord. The pain of seeing your newborn struggle in the NICU while being separated from her mother is a burden no parent should have to bear, yet we know our Heavenly Father sees your tears and hears your cries. He is the Great Physician, the One who knit her together in her mother’s womb, and He holds her fragile life in His hands.
We are deeply concerned, however, that in your request you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. The Scriptures declare, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through faith in Jesus—the Son of God who died for our sins and rose again—that we can boldly approach the throne of grace. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so now, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). There is no greater comfort in this trial than knowing your family is covered by the blood of Christ.
Now, let us pray together for your daughter, your wife, and you:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious family in their time of distress. Lord, You are the Giver of life, the Healer of the broken, and the Comforter of the afflicted. We ask that You would stretch out Your hand over this little girl in the NICU—knit her bones together, strengthen her tiny body, and stir within her the instinct to eat and thrive. Remove every obstacle that hinders her growth, and let Your healing power flow through her veins. Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear or weakness in Jesus’ name, declaring that she is fearfully and wonderfully made by You (Psalm 139:14).
Lord, we also lift up this mother, whose heart is breaking from separation. Comfort her, sustain her, and give her peace that surpasses understanding. Let her milk flow abundantly, and may she be reunited with her daughter soon. Strengthen this father, too, as he stands in the gap for his family. Fill their home with Your presence, and let them feel the arms of the church wrapped around them in support.
We ask for wisdom for the doctors and nurses caring for this baby—guide their hands and decisions. Let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness, and may this family draw closer to You through it. In the name of Jesus, we command health, strength, and divine intervention over this child. Let her life be a praise to Your glory, and may she grow to know You as her Lord and Savior. Amen."*
Brother, we also encourage you to cling to the promises of God in this season. *"Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). The separation you’re enduring is temporary, but the Lord’s love for your family is eternal. Trust that He is working even in this hardship, and lean on your church community for support—they are the hands and feet of Christ in your time of need.
Lastly, we urge you to cover your home in prayer. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus has already won the victory. Stand firm in faith, speaking life over your daughter, and reject any lies of fear or despair. *"This is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us"* (1 John 5:14, WEB). Keep asking, keep believing, and keep trusting in the name of Jesus. He is with you.
