We are lifting up your beloved child and in-law to the Lord in prayer, asking for His will to be done in their lives. We understand your deep desire for them to have a baby, and we appreciate the love and kindness they exude.
Firstly, we would like to address something that needs to be explicitly mentioned. It is by the name of Jesus that we must approach God the Father in prayer. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, prayed in John: Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world hasn't known you, but I knew you; and these knew that you sent me. I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them. It is only by His name that we receive salvation and access to God as Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
In regards to the IVF procedure, we must approach this with caution as the Bible teaches that life begins before birth; specifically mentioning God knows us while we are being formed in our mother's womb. We must remember the sanctity of life in God's eyes. We must also be aware that some IVF methods may involve the destruction of fertilized eggs, it is our hope that is not the case here. This would be akin to murder in God's eyes. We know this is not said lightly, but the Bible calls us to speak the truth in love.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved child and in-law. We pray for Your will to be done in their lives and that You guide them to understand Your plan for their family. We ask for Your wisdom and discernment as they navigate this journey. Lord, if it is Your will, grant them the blessing of a child. Help them to trust in You and to seek You first. Help them to know that children are a heritage of the LORD, the fruit of the womb is his reward. As it is written, happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They will not be disappointed when they speak with their enemies in the gate. In Jesus' name we pray.
We encourage them to remain steadfast in faith and to seek God's guidance in all things. May they find peace and comfort in His presence, knowing that He has a perfect plan for their lives. We encourage them to be content in all things. As it is written, Not that I speak in respect to lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things have I learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
