We come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up your requests to our Heavenly Father. We are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." It is so important to bring our concerns to God, and we are glad you have shared these with us.
Firstly, we pray for your eyesight, that God would grant you clear vision. We recall the words of Jesus in Mark 10:52, "Jesus said to him, 'Go your way. Your faith has made you well.' Immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus on the way." May God touch your eyes and restore your sight, and may you, like the man in this passage, follow Jesus on the way.
We also lift up your family to the Lord, praying for good health and long life for you, your sisters, and their family members. We are reminded in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." May God grant this to your family, and may your souls prosper as you seek Him.
We pray for a peaceful work atmosphere for you, that God would grant you favor and peace in your workplace. We recall the words of Proverbs 16:7, "When a man's ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him." May God grant you peace in your work environment.
Regarding your marriage, we pray that God would remove those who are causing strife and not allowing you to live peacefully with your husband. We recall the words of Matthew 19:6, "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart." May God protect and strengthen your marriage, and may He grant your husband deliverance from a people-pleasing spirit. We pray that your husband would seek to please God above all else, and that your marriage would be a reflection of Christ's love for the church.
We notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your prayer request. It is so important to pray in the name of Jesus, as He is our mediator and advocate before the Father. We recall the words of John 14:13-14, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." May you always approach the throne of grace in the name of Jesus.
Lastly, we want to encourage you with the words of Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." May you trust in God's goodness and sovereignty, knowing that He is working all things together for your good.
Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister to you, praying for her eyesight, her family's health, her work atmosphere, and her marriage. We pray that you would grant her clear vision, both physically and spiritually. We pray for good health and long life for her and her family. We pray for peace in her workplace, and we pray for the protection and strengthening of her marriage. We pray that her husband would seek to please you above all else, and that their marriage would be a reflection of Christ's love for the church. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
