We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your parents before our Heavenly Father, the Great Physician. We know that in this fallen world, sickness and disease afflict even the most faithful, but we also know that our God is able to heal and restore. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."
First, we pray for your dear mother, who is battling diabetes and a fungal infection in her lungs. Father God, we ask that You would touch her body with Your healing hand. Strengthen her immune system, Lord, and cleanse her lungs of this infection. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). Help her to manage her diabetes with wisdom, and guide her steps in maintaining a lifestyle that honors You. We rebuke this sickness in the name of Jesus, and we command it to leave her body now. May she experience Your peace and comfort as she trusts in You for her healing.
For your father, we pray for complete restoration. Lord, we ask that You would improve his eyesight and remove the headaches that plague him. We pray for healing in his urinary tract and ask that You would regulate his blood pressure. Your Word says in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We claim this promise over his life. Father, we ask that You would grant him good health and vitality, that he may serve You with strength and joy. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and declare that his body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). May he walk in divine health, giving glory to You in all things.
We also want to encourage both of your parents to draw near to God in this time of need. James 4:8 says, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." Healing is not only physical but spiritual as well. We pray that they would find their strength and hope in You, Lord, and that their faith would grow as they see Your hand at work in their lives.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to pray for healing. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We pray that your parents know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, for eternal healing is found in Him alone. If they have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we pray that they would do so today, confessing their sins and believing in their hearts that Jesus died for them and rose again (Romans 10:9).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before You on behalf of this family. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, and we believe that You are working even now for their healing. May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified through their testimony. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
