For healing
We come before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up your husband’s health and trusting in God’s sovereign power to heal and restore. The Scriptures remind us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to present ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God (Romans 12:1). Yet we also know that sickness and suffering entered the world through sin, and our ultimate hope is not just in physical healing but in the redemption found in Christ alone. It is only through faith in Jesus that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence, knowing He hears and answers our prayers according to His perfect will (Hebrews 4:16).
We are deeply grieved to hear of your husband’s struggles—his kidneys failing, his heart weakened, and the burden of diabetes taking its toll. These are serious trials, and we know the weight you both carry. Yet we take heart in the promise that our Lord is the Great Physician, the One who "forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases" (Psalm 103:3). We also remember that His ways are higher than ours, and even in suffering, He is working for our good and His glory (Romans 8:28). Whether He chooses to heal miraculously, sustain through treatment, or ultimately call your husband home, we trust that God’s grace is sufficient, and His strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
We must also ask: Have you and your husband placed your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior? It is only through faith in Him that we have access to the Father and the promise of eternal life. If there is any hesitation or doubt, we urge you to turn to Him now, for "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13). There is no greater comfort in sickness than knowing your sins are forgiven and your eternity is secure in Christ.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious husband and his wife who love him dearly. Lord, You knit him together in his mother’s womb, and every day of his life is written in Your book (Psalm 139:13-16). We ask for Your healing touch upon his kidneys, his heart, and his entire body. Restore his strength, Lord, and bring his blood sugar under control. Guide the hands of his doctors and give them wisdom in his treatment. If there has been any neglect of his health, convict him and grant him the discipline to steward his body well for Your glory.
Father, we also pray for his spirit and his wife’s. Comfort them in this trial and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). If there is any fear or anxiety, cast it out, Lord, and replace it with faith in Your goodness.
We rebuke the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Satan, you have no authority here—this man belongs to God, and we command every sickness and disease to flee in the name of Jesus. We declare that by His stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in God’s perfect timing and will.
Lord, if it is Your will to heal him completely, we praise You in advance. If You choose to walk with him through this valley, give him and his wife the grace to endure with joy, knowing that You are refining them like gold. And if You call him home, welcome him into Your presence where there is no more pain or sorrow (Revelation 21:4).
We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you both to cling to the Lord in this season. Read His Word daily, for it is a lamp to your feet (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourselves with a community of believers who can pray with you and support you. And remember, even in the darkest moments, God is working all things together for good. Trust Him, seek Him, and rest in His promises. We are standing with you in faith, believing for God’s miraculous intervention. Keep us updated on how we can continue to pray for you both.
