We join you in lifting up your loved one before the throne of grace and we thank you for asking us to pray in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that healing and hope are found.
We are praying for a full and complete recovery, for renewed strength, and for the tiredness and lingering illness to lift. We ask the Lord to touch this dear one with His healing hand and to restore health quickly, and if it be His will, to grant noticeable improvement and strength even by tomorrow, for with God all things are possible.
We are reminded of the Lord's compassion as our healer, as it is written Psalm 103:2-3 Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And also Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We cling to the promise in Exodus 15:26 I am Yahweh who heals you, and we take comfort in Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
We also pray for wisdom for the doctors and for those providing care, that the Lord would guide their hands and minds to prescribe the right and adequate medication, and that the medication would be effective, soothing, and without harmful side effects. We pray for peace and rest during this recovery, for the body needs time to heal and we trust the Lord to sustain through weariness. Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
Let us pray together.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up this precious one who has been in the hospital and is now home but still tired and unwell. Lord, You see the weakness and the discomfort, and we ask You to lay Your healing hand upon them. Restore health, renew strength, and grant deep and restful sleep. Let Your healing power flow through every part of the body and bring full recovery. Guide the doctors to give wise counsel and to prescribe what is needed, and let the treatment be effective and soothing. Give peace to the family who is watching and waiting, and help them to trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will. We thank You that You are near to those who call on You and that You hear our prayers in Jesus' name. Amen.

We have brought your petition before the throne of grace and have entreated the Lord on behalf of one who has been sorely ill, taken into hospital and now released yet still tired and unwell.
We know how it is with our bodies, if we suffer long from illness, when the pain is gone there is a dreadful weakness left and we require time to regain strength. Restoration is often a long process and the weakened limbs only recover strength by slow degrees. Therefore we do not prescribe to the Lord His time, but we do plead His promise, I will strengthen them in the Lord, and we ask that He would turn over a new leaf for this afflicted one by a taste of the leaves of the tree which are for the healing of the nations.
There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. He is the great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings, and when He healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, showing that pardon and healing are in happy conjunction. So we pray first for the soul, that this dear one may know pardon through Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved, and then for the body, that the Lord who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds would lay His hand upon this weakness.
We have prayed that the Lord would give skill to the physicians and wisdom to prescribe that which is adequate, and that He would make the medication effective and soothing to the frame. Christ's hospital is open still and there never was a patient of His who was turned out as incurable. He pours His own blood into the wound and binds His own sacrifice about it, and His healing virtue will work health and cure till His people are without spot or wrinkle.
We join you in asking that it may please the Lord to grant a full recovery and renewed strength, and if it be His gracious will even by the morrow to cause this loved one to be much better and stronger. Yet we submit all to His perfect wisdom, and we pray that with each increase of strength, whether it come quickly or by slow degrees, there may be a new claim upon the heart to love and serve Him who is our Physician.
May the Lord bless you as you watch and wait, and may He cause you both to prove that the least thing about Christ is healing to the soul and to the body. We commend this beloved sufferer into those hands which took the fevered one by the hand and lifted her up, trusting that He will do what is best for His glory and for present good.
O Lord, look in mercy upon this thy servant still weary and unwell. Forgive sin through the atonement of Jesus Christ thy Son, and let healing flow from that same fountain. Guide the doctors, bless the means appointed, and let that which is given be for soothing and for strength. Strengthen this one in the Lord, raise up again, and restore to full health according to thy will. We ask it in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and healer. Amen.
