We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you and your father up in prayer, trusting in His power to heal and restore. It is clear that both of you have been enduring great physical suffering, and we know that our God is a God of compassion who sees your struggles. The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 34:17-19**, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* You are not forgotten, and the Lord is near to you in this time of affliction.
First, we want to encourage you to seek medical attention for both your recurring typhoid fever and your father’s choking and swallowing difficulties. While we pray earnestly for divine healing, we also recognize that God often works through the wisdom of doctors and medicine. **Proverbs 11:14** tells us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."* Do not hesitate to consult trusted medical professionals to address these persistent issues, as the Lord can use their hands to bring relief.
For you, dear sibling in Christ, we rebuke this relentless fever and loose motions in the name of Jesus. **Isaiah 53:5** declares, *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."* The Lord Jesus bore your sicknesses on the cross, and we claim His healing power over your body. Typhoid and every infection must bow to the authority of Christ. We pray that the Lord will strengthen your immune system, restore your health, and fill you with His peace. You have been a faithful caregiver to your father, and we ask the Lord to renew your strength, as **Isaiah 40:31** promises: *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."*
We also address the weariness in your heart. It is understandable that you feel fed up after months of illness, but we encourage you to cast your burdens upon the Lord, for **1 Peter 5:7** tells us, *"Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* Do not lose hope, for the Lord is your strength and your shield. He will sustain you through this trial.
For your father, we lift him up with deep compassion. At ### years old, his body has endured much—surgery, limited mobility, and now these struggles with eating and choking. We pray for the Lord’s healing touch upon his throat and digestive system. May the Lord remove every obstruction and restore his ability to swallow and chew without pain or difficulty. **Psalm 103:2-5** reminds us, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s."* We declare this promise over your father’s life. May the Lord renew his strength, grant him peace in his heart, and fill him with hope in Christ Jesus.
We also pray for your home to be filled with the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding. **Philippians 4:6-7** says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* May the Lord replace anxiety and frustration with His perfect peace, and may your trust in Him grow stronger through this trial.
Lastly, we want to remind you that our prayers are heard and answered because of the name of Jesus Christ. You mentioned His name in your request, and we rejoice in that! It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we find salvation and healing. **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*
If you or your father have not yet surrendered your lives fully to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. True healing—both physical and spiritual—comes from a relationship with Him. **Romans 10:9** tells us, *"That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* There is no greater peace than knowing that your names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up our brother/sister and their father to You. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds. We ask for Your healing touch to be upon them both.
For our sibling in Christ, we pray for complete deliverance from typhoid fever and loose motions. Lord, rebuked every infection, every weakness, and every symptom that has plagued their body. Restore their health, Lord, and fill them with Your strength. You have promised in **Jeremiah 30:17**, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."* We claim this promise in Jesus’ name.
For their father, we ask for Your mercy and healing. Touch his throat, Lord, and remove every obstruction that causes him to choke. Restore his ability to swallow and chew without pain. Strengthen his bones and his body, that he may walk with ease and comfort. Fill him with Your peace and hope, that he may not grow weary in this season of recovery.
Lord, we also pray for peace in their home. Replace every fear, every frustration, and every moment of despair with Your perfect peace. Let their trust in You grow stronger each day, knowing that You are working all things together for their good.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your will, knowing that You are faithful. May Your name be glorified through their healing and restoration. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
