We join with you in lifting up this loved one before the Lord, seeking His divine healing and restoration for their heart and soul. It is beautiful to see your heart for intercession, and we are grateful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in this prayer, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. As Scripture reminds us in **John 14:13-14 (WEB)**, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."*
The heart and soul are deeply connected, and when one is wounded, it affects the whole being. We know that God is the ultimate healer, the One who binds up the brokenhearted and restores what has been shattered. **Psalm 147:3 (WEB)** declares, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* And in **Psalm 34:18 (WEB)**, we are assured, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Let us trust in His promise to draw near to this loved one in their time of need, bringing comfort, peace, and renewal.
Yet, we must also consider whether there are areas in this loved one’s life that may be hindering their healing. Are there unconfessed sins, bitterness, or relationships that do not align with God’s Word? True healing often requires repentance and surrender to the Lord’s will. **James 5:16 (WEB)** instructs us, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* If there is anything in their life that is not pleasing to God—whether it be unforgiveness, involvement in sinful relationships, or a heart turned away from Him—we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict and lead them to repentance. Only then can the fullness of God’s healing flow freely.
We also encourage you, as you intercede for this loved one, to continue standing in the gap for them. Your prayers are powerful, and your faith plays a vital role in their restoration. **Ephesians 6:18 (WEB)** urges us to *"pray at all times in the Spirit, and watch unto this in all perseverance and petition for all the saints."* Do not grow weary in praying, for the Lord hears you, and He is faithful to complete the work He has begun.
