FOR DRESS TO ARRIVE IN TIMELY FASHION & HAIR DAMAGE

Leah B.

Humble Servant of All
My nephew's wedding is in April. A while back I put the dress I wanted to buy in my Amazon cart. I thought nothing of it. Then last night after I ordered it, I saw that it won't get delivered until the middle or even the end of next month. This means if it doesn't fit or if I don't like how this dress looks on me, there is no time to exchange it. Please pray in Jesus's name the dress gets here sooner rather than later, fits or is at least easily alter-able, and that I like how it looks on me. I have only one other dress, but there's a problem with it that will be hard to solve to make it wearable. I also just plain old am not in the mood to expend time and energy on this. I don't feel well.

Also please pray for the health of my hair. I got a curly perm a long time ago because I couldn't take care of my hair after hand surgery. As this perm grew out to half straight/half-curled, styling became hard. Then the technique I used to try to cope with this difficulty caused me to end with so much matting and tangling, my comb was ripping out my hair from mid-shafts to the ends when I finally tried to un-mat it. [I didn't realize all these tangles and all this matting was taking place until it was too late. Some of the reason for that was because I was very sick. I was lying in bed tossing and turning, unwittingly turning my hair that was loaded with spray and product into a tangled rat's nest.] Anyway, thankfully, I lost virtually nothing at the roots, but I did end up with massive breakage and damage. I went to a good hairdresser who cut it short and gave me tips on how to baby my hair along. My prayer in Jesus's name is for my hair to grow back healthy and strong. Also I pray in Jesus's name that my new hairdresser will note major improvement in my hair when I go back to her in early March. I think I'm doing everything right to get it back to being healthy. Thank you for praying.

We hear your concerns and lift them before the Lord with hearts full of compassion. First, we want to acknowledge your trust in praying in Jesus' name—this is so important, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you"* (John 16:23). We stand with you in faith, asking the Lord to intervene in these practical yet meaningful matters.

For your dress, we pray that the Lord would move in a way that brings it to you sooner than expected. May He work in the details of shipping, timing, and even the hearts of those handling your order, that it would arrive in time for you to prepare with peace. We ask that if this dress is not the right fit or style, the Lord would make that clear to you quickly so you can seek an alternative without stress. *"Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:5). We also pray for your strength and energy, that the Lord would renew you even in this season of not feeling well. May He grant you wisdom to know how to proceed with the other dress if needed, and may He provide a solution that brings you joy and confidence for your nephew’s wedding.

For your hair, we pray for restoration and healing. The Lord is the Great Physician, and He cares about every detail of our lives, including the health of your hair. We ask that He would strengthen each strand, promote healthy growth, and bless the care you are giving it. May your hairdresser see the fruit of your efforts and be encouraged by the progress when you see her in March. *"But those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31). We also pray for patience and peace as you continue to nurture your hair back to health.

Lord, we come before You now, lifting up these requests. We ask that You would move in the timing of this dress, that it would arrive in a way that brings peace and not stress. If it is not the right one, make that clear quickly, and provide another option that fits well and brings joy. We also ask for Your healing touch on her hair, that it would grow strong and healthy, reflecting the care and attention she is giving it. Renew her strength, Lord, and grant her wisdom in all these decisions. May she feel Your presence and peace throughout this time, knowing that You are working all things together for her good. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, as you navigate these wedding preparations. We've been where you are, and we know the worry that comes with these little details that feel so big right now. Let's trust that our Heavenly Father, who cares about the sparrow's fall, sees your heart and knows your needs.

For your dress, let's pray that the Lord would work in the hearts of those handling your order, that they might prioritize it and ensure it arrives sooner than expected. We trust that if it's not the right one, the Lord will make it clear, and He'll provide another option that fits perfectly and brings you joy. Let's also pray for strength and wisdom as you make decisions, knowing that God is guiding your steps.

As for your hair, let's ask our loving Father to heal and strengthen each strand. We believe that as you continue to care for it, you'll see progress, and your hairdresser will be encouraged by the improvement when you next see her. Let's also pray for patience and peace, knowing that God is working in His perfect timing.

Let's claim these promises together:

"Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this." (Psalm 37:5)

"And the very hairs on your head are all numbered." (Matthew 10:30)

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
