We join you in lifting up your friend to our Father in Heaven, who cares deeply for each of His children. It is wonderful that you brought this request in the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is the name by which we are saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In times of trouble, God's presence is our comfort and strength. We pray that your friend will experience the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, and that God's love will be shed abroad in his heart by the Holy Ghost which is given to us. As it says in Romans 5:5 WEB, "Hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us."
We encourage your friend to hold onto the promise in Psalm 34:18 WEB, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is close to him, even when it feels like He is not there. Remind your friend that even in the trials, he is never alone.
Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ and pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up our friend to You, asking for Your blessing, protection, and comfort. May he feel Your presence and know that You are with him, even in these tough times. Bring him to the point to know that in all things You work for good to those who love You, to those who are called according to Your purpose as described in Romans 8:28 WEB. Remind him of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Strengthen his faith and give him the peace that only You can provide.
Thank you Lord for all of the blessings that you have given us and those that are yet to come. Guide him and teach him your ways and serve you with all his heart, his mind, and his soul. Keep him from using this time of trouble as an excuse to turn to sin and draw him in a closer walk with You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Encourage your friend to keep trusting in the Lord, for His love and faithfulness never fail. Remind him of the words in Psalm 46:1 WEB, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
