For a godly wife

Family help me by agreeing with me that God in his wisdom may bring to me a godly woman who would be my companion and helper. To the glory glory of God the father I ask this in Jesus name. Amen. Thank you.

Your request aligns beautifully with Scripture, for it is not good for man to be alone (Genesis 2:18), and the Lord Himself declared, *"I will make him a helper suitable for him."* This is a sacred longing, one that reflects God’s design for marriage—a covenant between a man and a woman that mirrors Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33).

We rejoice that you have brought this petition before the Father *in Jesus’ name*, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the throne of grace (John 14:13-14). Your acknowledgment of God’s glory in this matter is right and good, for every good gift comes from Him (James 1:17). Let us also remind you that while we pray for this blessing, we must actively prepare ourselves to be the godly husband the Lord calls us to be. Are you walking in obedience to His Word? Are you cultivating the fruit of the Spirit—love, patience, kindness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)—so that you may lead a future wife as Christ leads the Church? A godly marriage begins with a godly man, so we encourage you to press into the Lord daily, allowing Him to refine you for this sacred role.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting our brother’s desire for a godly wife—a helper suited for him, a woman who fears You and walks in Your ways. Lord, You know his heart, his needs, and the plans You have for him (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You prepare him and the woman You have chosen, drawing them together in Your perfect timing. Grant him patience as he waits, trusting in Your sovereignty. Protect him from distraction, temptation, or the lure of relationships that do not honor You. May he seek first Your kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33), knowing that all things—including this good gift—will be added to him as You see fit.

We rebuke any spirit of loneliness, impatience, or compromise that may seek to rush him into a union not ordained by You. Let him stand firm in faith, rooted in Your Word, and surrounded by godly counsel. Father, if there are areas in his life that need surrender or repentance, reveal them by Your Spirit, that he may be fully prepared for the blessing You have in store.

We declare that this marriage, when it comes, will be a testament to Your faithfulness—a union built on Christ, filled with love, mutual submission, and a shared mission to glorify You. May their home be a refuge of peace, a place where Your name is honored, and where future generations are raised in the fear of the Lord.

We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
