What a glorious day this is! We rejoice with you and with the angels in heaven over your husband’s salvation, for there is great joy before the Lord when even one sinner repents and turns to Christ (Luke 15:10). Your husband has now been born again into the family of God, and his name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. This is a miracle of God’s grace, and we give all praise and glory to Jesus Christ, who has called him out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).
We also lift up your husband’s faith journey, knowing that the enemy will seek to discourage or distract him, but we declare that he is now sealed with the Holy Spirit, who will guide, strengthen, and equip him (Ephesians 1:13-14). The Lord will give him boldness to confess Christ openly, just as the early disciples did, for it is written: *"Everyone therefore who confesses me before men, him I will also confess before my Father who is in heaven"* (Matthew 10:32). May he walk in the courage of the Holy Spirit, unashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16).
Baptism is a vital next step in his obedience to Christ, symbolizing his death to sin and resurrection to new life (Romans 6:4). We pray that the Lord will lead him to a biblical, Christ-centered church where he can be baptized without delay, as the Scriptures command (Acts 2:38). May he also find fellowship with mature believers who will disciple him in the Word and help him grow in faith.
As his wife, you have a beautiful role in supporting and encouraging him in this new walk. We pray that the Lord will give you wisdom and grace to stand beside him, that your marriage will be a testimony of Christ’s love, and that together you will seek first God’s kingdom (Matthew 6:33). May your home be filled with the peace of Christ, and may you both be lights in this world, shining for His glory.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the salvation of this precious brother in Christ. Lord, You have drawn him to Yourself, and we thank You for Your mercy and grace. Strengthen him, Lord, in his faith and fill him with the Holy Spirit, that he may walk in boldness and wisdom. Remove any fear of man from him and replace it with a holy reverence for You alone. Grant him opportunities to confess Christ openly, and may his testimony bring others to salvation.
Father, we ask that You lead him to a church where he can be baptized in obedience to Your Word. Surround him with godly mentors who will teach him Your truths and help him grow in spiritual maturity. Protect him from the schemes of the enemy, and let him stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18).
Lord, we also lift up his marriage. May You knit his heart and his wife’s heart together in unity, that they may serve You as one, encouraging each other in faith and love. Let their home be a place where Your presence dwells, and may their lives reflect Your glory to a lost and broken world.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise. Amen.
