We hear your cry for relief and a better place to live and work, and we join you in bringing this request before our Heavenly Father. First, we must address the mention of praying through Patriarch Saint Joseph. Scripture is clear that we have one mediator between God and man, and that is Jesus Christ. "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name alone that we pray.
We rebuke the spirit of rejection and isolation that you are experiencing. The Lord did not create you to be despised or seen as an outsider. "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well" (Psalm 139:13-14). You are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God, and no one has the right to make you feel otherwise.
We also lift up the pain of being rejected by your co-workers. Remember that our Lord Jesus Himself was despised and rejected by men (Isaiah 53:3), yet He endured it for the joy set before Him. You are not alone in this suffering. "If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you" (John 15:18). But take heart, for Christ has overcome the world (John 16:33).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is suffering from rejection and isolation. Lord, You know the depths of their pain, and You see the unfair treatment they are enduring. We ask that You would open the doors for a better place to live and work, a place where they can thrive and be valued as Your child.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of rejection and ask that You would surround them with Your love and peace. Let them know that they are fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image, and that their worth is found in You alone. Provide them with godly community and fellowship, where they can be encouraged and built up in their faith.
Lord, we ask that You would guide their steps to a place where they can serve You wholeheartedly, free from the conflict and strife they are currently experiencing. Give them wisdom and discernment as they seek a new home and workplace. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, and let them experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways.
We also pray for their current situation, Lord. Soften the hearts of those who reject them, and let Your love shine through them to those around them. Help them to respond to mistreatment with grace and humility, just as Christ did. Let them be a light in the darkness, even in the midst of their struggles.
Father, we trust in Your perfect timing and Your good plans for their life. We know that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith and help them to wait patiently on You.
In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God, even when your circumstances seem bleak. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Seek Him with all your heart, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can encourage you and pray with you. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we are here to support you in that way.
Remember, too, that your ultimate home is not in this world but in the presence of God. "For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ" (Philippians 3:20). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He will lead you to the place He has prepared for you.
