Following Jesus is what I must do

Please pray that I will grow in my relationship with God, mainly by my obeying Him through my not watching TV at all anymore, as I have rebelled too long against the will of God in this area of my life.  May I also honor God with every word I speak, meaning I must repent of listening to and participating in gossip. I strongly believe the Holy Spirit has told me my thought life needs a lot of cleansing and I need to obey the Bible when it says "taking all of your thoughts to the obedience of Christ". And, lastly for now, may the Holy Spirit lead me in revealing to me what else I must do in order to be able to honestly say that "Jesus is the Lord of my life" and that I can honestly say I am surrendering every area of my life to the Lordship of Christ.
