We join you in lifting up your concerns about the flood watch and the pressing need for repairs, as well as the upcoming surgery and appointment. It is clear that your heart is seeking God’s intervention, and we are grateful you have brought these matters before Him. We also rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Your acknowledgment of His justice and sovereignty is a testament to your faith, and we stand with you in agreement.
First, let us address the flood and repair issues. The Lord is our provider and protector, and He cares deeply about the practical needs of His children. In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus reminds us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."* While we pray for swift repairs and protection from further damage, let us also trust that God will provide in His perfect timing. He is not unaware of your needs, and He is able to move in the hearts of those responsible for the repairs to act with urgency and diligence. We also encourage you to take practical steps—such as documenting the damage and following up with the necessary parties—while trusting God to open doors and provide favor.
As for the surgery and appointment, we know that the Lord is the Great Physician, and His hand is upon every detail of your life. Proverbs 16:9 tells us, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* While we pray for punctuality and smooth orchestration of this process, we also ask the Lord to grant you peace, knowing that He is in control. Psalm 37:5 encourages us to *"Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this."* Even if there are delays or unexpected challenges, God is able to turn them for your good (Romans 8:28). We pray that He will guide the hands of the surgeon, grant wisdom to every medical professional involved, and bring about complete healing in His name.
We also note your cry for justice, and we affirm that God is a God of justice. Deuteronomy 32:4 declares, *"He is the Rock. His work is perfect, for all his ways are justice; a God of truth and without injustice. Righteous and upright is he."* If there has been negligence or wrongdoing in the flood repairs or any other area of your life, we ask the Lord to expose it and bring about His righteous judgment. His justice will prevail, and we trust Him to vindicate you in His perfect way and timing.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing the stress of flood repairs, an upcoming surgery, and the need for Your divine orchestration in every detail. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You move swiftly in the repair process—raise up the right people to complete the work with excellence and urgency. Protect their home from further damage, and provide the resources needed to restore what has been broken. Let Your favor rest upon them as they navigate this situation, and grant them wisdom to know what steps to take.
For the surgery, Lord, we ask for Your divine hand to be upon every aspect. Guide them to their appointment on time, and let every delay be turned into an opportunity for Your glory. Give the surgeon skillful hands and a discerning mind. Bring complete healing, Lord, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remove all fear and anxiety, and replace it with unshakable trust in You.
We also pray for Your justice to prevail in every area where wrong has been done. Expose any corruption or negligence, and let Your righteousness be their shield and reward. You are a God who sees all things, and we trust You to act on their behalf.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You strengthen their faith during this time. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good, and that Your plans for them are for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). May they rest in the assurance that You are with them, and that nothing is too difficult for You.
We rebuked any spirit of fear, delay, or confusion in the name of Jesus. We declare that You, Lord, are their provider, healer, and defender. Let Your will be done in their life, and may they see Your hand move mightily on their behalf.
In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
