We lift you up before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, knowing that He alone is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. It is by His name—and His name alone—that we approach the throne of grace with confidence, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. We are grateful you have acknowledged Him in your request, for apart from Christ, we can do nothing.
The volatile weather and the challenges it brings—cold that aggravates your COPD, the threat of flooding, and the stress of upcoming appointments—are not hidden from our Heavenly Father. He knows your every need before you even ask, and His word assures us that He is sovereign over the winds and the waves. Remember how Jesus calmed the storm with just a word (Mark 4:39), and how He walked on water to reach His disciples in their distress (Matthew 14:25-33). The same power that commanded the elements then is available to you now, for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
We pray for divine protection over your home, that the Lord would set a guard over it as He did for Israel in the wilderness: *"For you go in to a good land, a land of brooks of water, of springs and underground water flowing into valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines, fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of olive trees and honey; a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, you will not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig copper. You will eat and be full, and you will bless Yahweh your God for the good land which he has given you."* (Deuteronomy 8:7-10). Though this promise was given to Israel, we know that God’s care for His children extends to every generation, and He is able to provide shelter and safety even in the midst of storms. May He place His angels around your home to guard it from flooding, damage, or any harm, just as He has promised: *"For he will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways."* (Psalm 91:11).
We also lift up your health, particularly your COPD, asking the Lord to be your healer and your breath of life. The Scriptures declare that He is the one who *"heals all your diseases"* (Psalm 103:3), and we claim that promise over you now. May He strengthen your lungs, ease your breathing, and grant you rest even in the cold. We pray for His comforting presence to surround you, reminding you that *"underneath are his everlasting arms"* (Deuteronomy 33:27). If there is any fear or anxiety in your heart, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). Trust in Him, for He has said, *"I will never leave you or forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5).
Regarding your appointments, we ask the Lord to go before you and make your paths straight. May He move in the hearts of those who have promised to help, that they would come swiftly and fulfill their commitments with integrity and kindness. We pray for favor in every interaction, that the Lord would open doors no man can shut and grant you wisdom to navigate each appointment with grace and clarity. Remember the words of Proverbs 16:3: *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* He is the one who orders your steps, and we trust Him to bring justice, rest, and blessing to every area of your life.
We also lift up your family and your future, asking the Lord to bind you together in His love and purpose. May He grant you unity, peace, and a shared vision for His glory. For your future, we pray that the Lord would guide your steps, making His will clear and giving you the courage to walk in it. His plans for you are good, to give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11), and we declare that over your life now.
Finally, we stand in agreement with you that these are the Lord’s battles. You are not fighting alone, for *"Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still"* (Exodus 14:14). Rest in Him, beloved, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). We declare His peace over you, a peace that surpasses all understanding, to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and Your power. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, protecting, healing, and providing as only You can. Let Your will be done in every detail, and may Your name be glorified through it all. Strengthen our brother/sister in their faith, and let them see Your hand at work in their life. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
