We are grateful for your heartfelt request to return to your first love for God. This is a vital aspect of our Christian walk, as Jesus himself instructs the church in Ephesus in Revelation 2:4, "But I have this against you, that you left your first love."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who desires to return to their first love for You. Father, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a new and profound way, touching their heart and captivating them again with Your love. Help them to remember the joy and zeal they had when they first believed, and restore that passion for You and Your kingdom.

Father, we know that Your mercies are new every morning and that You are faithful to forgive and restore. We pray that You will fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them the power to walk in Your ways and serve You with their whole heart. Help them to love You with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love their neighbor as themselves.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God's Word, meditating on His promises and His character. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 22:37-38 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment."

Dear Lord Jesus,

We lift up our friend to You today. Lord, You know their heart, their struggles, their longing to return to that first, pure love they had for You. We ask that You would meet them right where they are, just as You did when they first encountered You. Remind them of the joy, the peace, the unexplainable hope they felt in those early days.

Lord, we ask that You would fill them afresh with Your Holy Spirit. Help them to see You in new and wonderful ways, to experience Your love in a fresh, personal way. Help them to remember why they fell in love with You in the first place, and to fan that flame back into a blazing fire.

We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful. You never change, never stop loving, never stop pursuing. Help them to trust in Your unfailing love, to rest in Your grace, and to walk in Your ways once again.
