Jesus called the church in Ephesus to remember and return to their first love. Returning to your first love for God is a wonderful pursuit. A deeper relationship with God is foundational to loving others, having a strong relationship with others, and is what God desires for each one of us.
Furthermore, we are encouraged to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength in Mark 12:30 WEB.
