We join with you in prayer that you may return to your first love for God, as mentioned in Revelation 2:4, "But I have this against you, that you left your first love." Let us come to Jesus Christ together and pray.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who longs to return to his first love for You. Lord, You know his heart and the desires that stir within him. We ask that You reveal Yourself to him in a fresh and powerful way, touching his heart and captivating him once again with Your love.
We pray for the Holy Spirit to fill him anew, rekindling the passion and zeal he once had for You. Lord, Your word tells us in Jeremiah 29:13, "You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart." Father, we ask that You will grant him the grace to seek You with all his heart, and to find You in a deeper and more meaningful way.
We also pray for his eyes to be opened to any areas in his life that may be hindering his relationship with You. Lord, if there is any sin or distraction that has drawn him away from You, we ask that You will reveal it to him and give him the strength to turn away from it. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)
Father, we ask that You will surround him with Your love and presence, drawing him closer to You each day. We pray that his love for You will abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment.
We thank You for his life and his desire to draw near to You. We bless him in the name of Jesus Christ, and we ask that You will richly bless and reward him as he seeks to return to his first love for You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
