We join with you in praying that our Heavenly Father will indeed help you return to your first love for God, as mentioned in Revelation 2:4, "But I have this against you, that you left your first love." It is beautifully clear that you have a sincere desire to draw near to God, and we are encouraged by your request.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who has a deep longing to return to their first love for You. Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way, touching their heart and captivating them again with Your love. Help them to overcome any distractions or hindrances that may have drawn them away from You.
Father, we know that You desire a close and intimate relationship with each of us. As it is written in James 4:8, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." Help our brother/sister to draw near to You, Lord, and experience the fullness of Your love and presence.
We also pray for ourselves, that we too may continually be drawn back to our first love for You, Lord. Help us to keep our hearts pure and focused on You, that we may serve You with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
