We rejoice with you as you seek to return to your first love for God. This is a deeply meaningful and spiritual endeavor, and we are here to support and pray with you. In Revelation 2:4, the church in Ephesus is commended for their deeds, hard work, and perseverance, but they are also rebuked for forsaking their first love. Let us remember the words of Jesus Christ Himself, "But I have this against you, that you left your first love."
It is crucial to understand that our love for God should be our primary focus, and it is the foundation of our faith. As it is written in Matthew 22:37-38 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who desires to return to their first love for You. Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a powerful and personal way. Touch their heart, Lord, and captivate them again with Your love. Help them to love You with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength.
Father, forgive them for the times they have allowed other things to take priority over You. Renew their passion and dedication to You. Help them to see You as their first love, their portion, and their treasure. Give them a hunger and thirst for Your Word and Your presence.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray that You will fill them anew with Your Holy Spirit. Help them to walk in Your ways and do Your will. Strengthen their faith and help them to be a testimony of Your love and grace.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust that You are working in their life, drawing them closer to You. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to pursue God with all your heart.
