We join you in praying that you will return to your first love for God, as mentioned in Revelation 2:4, "But I have this against you, that you left your first love." Let us come together in Jesus' name.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who desires to return to their first love for You. Father, reveal Yourself to them in a new and profound way. Touch their heart and captivate them again with Your love. We know that when we seek You with all our heart, we will find You. (Jeremiah 29:13 WEB: You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.)
Lord, forgive them for any time they have placed other priorities above You. Remind them of the joy and peace that comes from being in Your presence. (Psalm 16:11 WEB: You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.)
Help them to love You with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love others as themselves. (Mark 12:30-31 WEB: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.)
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who lived, died, and rose again so that we might have eternal life. It is only through His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is only through His name that we can be saved.
