We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as we seek the Lord’s mercy and provision in this frightening time. Your fear is understandable, and we stand with you, asking God to calm your spirit and grant you peace that surpasses all understanding. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
First and foremost, we rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus. Fear does not come from God, for 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We pray that you would feel the Lord’s presence surrounding you, reminding you that He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that He guide the hands of your doctor and medical team, granting them wisdom and skill to care for your fistula access with precision and urgency.
We also lift up your financial concerns, trusting that the Lord is your provider. Matthew 6:31-33 reminds us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."* We pray that God would open doors for the resources you need, whether through unexpected provision, the kindness of others, or His divine intervention. We ask that He cover the cost of gas and any other expenses related to your care, so that you and your parents can travel safely to your appointment.
It is clear that you are crying out to the Lord in this time of need, and we want to encourage you to hold fast to your faith. Jesus is the only way to the Father, and it is through His name alone that we have access to God’s throne of grace (John 14:6, Hebrews 4:16). If you have not already, we urge you to place your trust fully in Him, confessing your sins and believing in His death and resurrection for your salvation. Romans 10:9 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."*
We also want to gently remind you that our words matter, even in prayer. While we understand the urgency of your situation, we encourage you to approach the Lord with reverence, avoiding casual or repetitive phrases that may not honor Him. Ecclesiastes 5:2 says, *"Don’t be rash with your mouth, and don’t let your heart be hasty to utter anything before God; for God is in heaven, and you on earth. Therefore let your words be few."* Let your prayers be sincere and heartfelt, trusting that God hears you.
Father God, we come before You now on behalf of our brother/sister in Christ. We ask that You would calm their fears and fill them with Your perfect peace. Lord, we pray for their fistula access, that You would protect it from harm and guide the doctors to provide the care they need. Provide for every financial need, Father, and make a way where there seems to be no way. Give them strength for the journey ahead and remind them that You are with them every step of the way. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.
