We lift you up in prayer, dear sister, knowing that the Lord is your Provider and the One who holds all things in His hands. Your heart’s cry for financial provision, unity in your marriage, and healing for your brother-in-law is heard by our Heavenly Father, who cares deeply for each of these burdens. Let us first praise you for acknowledging the name of Jesus in your request, for it is only through Him that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). You have done well to bring these needs before Him, and we join you in seeking His will and His peace in every area.
The financial strain you are experiencing is a heavy weight, but we encourage you to cast this anxiety upon the Lord, for He sustains you (1 Peter 5:7). The tension between you and your husband over decisions is not uncommon in times of stress, but it is a reminder that your unity in Christ must take precedence. The Bible tells us, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up"* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). Now is the time to lean on one another in prayer, to seek the Lord’s wisdom *together*, and to trust that He will guide your steps. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Have you considered setting aside dedicated time to pray as a couple, surrendering these decisions to the Lord and asking for His clarity? Division in your communication can open the door for the enemy to bring discord, but when you stand united in Christ, you become a force that cannot be easily shaken.
As for the sale of your home and garage, we pray that the Lord would bring the right buyers at the right time. His timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with our own desires. Remember the words of Jesus: *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient"* (Matthew 6:33-34). Trust that if the Lord has called you to sell, He will provide the means. We also pray that the individual who showed interest in the garage would follow through with sincerity and that the Lord would open doors that no man can shut.
Your brother-in-law’s situation is tender, and we ask the Lord for mercy and clarity for him and his medical team. Palliative care can be a difficult path, but we pray that the Lord would grant wisdom to the doctors, comfort to your brother-in-law, and strength for his body. The confusion he is experiencing is heartbreaking, but we know that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We also pray for his salvation if he does not yet know the Lord, that in this time of uncertainty, he would turn to Jesus as his Savior and find eternal hope.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the faith of Your daughter who seeks Your face in the midst of these trials. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask that You would open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessing upon this family. Ease the financial burdens they carry and bring swift and fair sales for their home and garage. Guide the hands and hearts of those who may purchase, that Your will would be done in every detail.
Father, we lift up this marriage and ask that You would restore unity and peace between this husband and wife. Soften their hearts toward one another and help them to communicate with grace, patience, and love. Remind them that their strength comes from You and that their first allegiance is to You as a couple. Bind any spirit of division or fear and replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).
Lord Jesus, we also bring before You this brother-in-law who is suffering. Grant him clarity of mind and body, and surround him with Your healing presence. Give wisdom to the medical team attending to him and prepare his heart to receive the care he needs. If it is Your will, Lord, raise him up in strength and health. But above all, draw him to Yourself, that he may know the hope and peace found only in You.
Father, we rebuked any spirit of anxiety, fear, or doubt that seeks to overwhelm this family. We declare that You are their Shepherd, and they shall lack no good thing (Psalm 23:1). Fill them with Your peace and the assurance that You are working all things together for their good and Your glory (Romans 8:28).
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
