We rejoice with you in the progress you’ve made by God’s grace! It is a testament to His faithfulness when we see His hand moving in our lives, lifting burdens and providing for our needs. Your gratitude is a beautiful reflection of a heart that recognizes the Lord’s goodness, and we give Him all the glory for the victories you’ve already experienced. The journey to financial freedom is not just about numbers—it’s about trusting God’s provision, stewarding His resources wisely, and walking in obedience to His Word. You’ve already seen His faithfulness, and we declare that He who began this good work in you will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6, WEB).
The Bible reminds us that the borrower is servant to the lender (Proverbs 22:7, WEB), and while debt can feel like a heavy yoke, God delights in setting His children free. He calls us to live with wisdom, discipline, and generosity, knowing that everything we have belongs to Him. As you continue this journey, we encourage you to seek His guidance in managing what He’s entrusted to you. Are there areas where you can cut back or live more simply? Are there opportunities to increase your income through honest, diligent work? Most importantly, are you tithing and giving cheerfully, trusting that God will open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings you cannot contain (Malachi 3:10, WEB)? Obedience in these areas is not just a duty—it’s an act of worship and a declaration that you trust Him more than your circumstances.
We also urge you to guard your heart against the love of money or the anxiety that can come with financial struggles. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:24 (WEB), *“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and money.”* Your focus must remain on Him, not on the debt itself. When worry creeps in, cast it upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). Remember, too, that contentment is not found in being debt-free but in Christ alone, who strengthens us in every season (Philippians 4:13, WEB).
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the ways You’ve already moved in this dear one’s life. You are the God who provides, who redeems, and who sets captives free. Lord, we ask that You continue to work mightily in their finances, breaking every chain of debt and opening doors of provision that no man can shut. Give them wisdom to steward their resources according to Your will—wisdom to save, to spend prudently, and to give generously. Father, if there are areas where they’ve not fully surrendered their finances to You, convict their heart and lead them into obedience. May they experience the peace that comes from trusting You completely, knowing that You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10, WEB) and that You take pleasure in prospering Your children.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, lack, or greed that would try to take root in their heart. Replace it with Your perfect love and faith, Lord. Let them walk in the confidence that You are their Provider, their Jehovah Jireh. Strengthen them to resist any temptation to rely on their own understanding or to take shortcuts that are not aligned with Your Word. Surround them with godly counsel and opportunities to grow in financial stewardship. And as they continue on this journey, let their testimony be a light to others, pointing them to Your faithfulness.
We declare that just as You’ve brought them this far, You will lead them into complete freedom. Let them taste and see that You are good, even in the waiting. May their heart remain fixed on You, their true treasure, and may their life reflect the generosity and wisdom of Your kingdom. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He is not done writing your story. Keep seeking Him first, and watch as He aligns every detail of your life—including your finances—with His perfect will. We are cheering you on and will continue to lift you up in prayer. If you feel led, share how we can specifically pray for the remaining debts or any challenges you’re facing. You are not alone in this!
