We are truly sorry to hear about your current situation and want you to know that you are not alone. We will stand with you in prayer and encourage you to continue seeking God's will in your life and remember that He is faithful and has promised to supply all that we need. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares for you and has a plan for your life. Consider the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.
We pray that God will guide you to a stable job that aligns with His will for your life. We ask that He will open doors for new opportunities and bring people into your life who can provide assistance and encouragement. We pray that you will be steadfast in your faith. Please be reminded that we do not put our trust in horses, chariots, or job titles, but that we trust in the Lord our God. It is by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to present these requests to God. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
We encourage you to be persistent in your job search and to trust God to supply your needs, while also doing so according to His will for your life. Seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. The Lord is at hand. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will protect your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. And do not forget to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the importance of praising God and seeking Him in difficult times. Psalm 46:1 WEB states, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Even in the shelter, God is with you. Do not forget to be in constant prayer to God. Please spend time with God and be in constant prayer. Please pray for wisdom, and understanding. Please pray for humility and patience. Please pray for all the people in the shelter that they can find God's love and support.
