FINANCIAL STRUGGLES

We understand the heavy burden of financial struggles, and we want to lift you up in prayer while also pointing you to the truth of God’s Word. The Bible reminds us in **Philippians 4:19**, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Yet we also know that financial hardship can test our faith, and it is in these moments we must cling to Him, trusting that He is our Provider—even when the path seems uncertain.

First, we must address something vital: your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that we boldly approach the throne of grace (**John 14:6, Hebrews 4:16**). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (**Romans 10:9**). Without faith in Him, our prayers are empty, and our struggles lack eternal hope. If you *have* trusted in Christ but simply forgot to pray in His name, we encourage you to always come before the Father through Jesus, who intercedes for us (**1 Timothy 2:5**).

Now, let us speak to the financial struggle you face. The Bible does not promise wealth, but it *does* promise that God will never forsake His children (**Hebrews 13:5**). Sometimes, financial lack is a test of faith; other times, it is a consequence of poor stewardship, lack of wisdom, or even disobedience. We must examine our hearts: Are we tithing faithfully, trusting God with the firstfruits of our income (**Malachi 3:10**)? Are we working diligently as unto the Lord (**Colossians 3:23**)? Are we avoiding debt where possible, living within our means, and seeking godly counsel (**Proverbs 22:7, 15:22**)? Or have we been reckless, lazy, or trusting in our own understanding rather than God’s provision (**Proverbs 3:5-6**)?

If there is sin in this area—such as greed, dishonesty, or neglect of biblical principles—we urge you to repent. **1 John 1:9** tells us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* God’s blessings flow to the obedient, not the rebellious.

At the same time, we must guard our hearts against bitterness or fear. **Matthew 6:25-34** commands us not to worry about our needs, for our Heavenly Father knows what we require. Instead, we are to seek *first* His kingdom and righteousness, trusting that He will add what we need. This does not mean passivity—we should work hard, budget wisely, and seek opportunities—but it *does* mean releasing control to God.

Let us pray for you now:

*"Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved child of Yours who is burdened by financial struggles. Lord, You see their need, and You know the depths of their heart. We ask that You provide for them in ways that bring glory to Your name—whether through open doors, wisdom in stewardship, or miraculous provision. Father, if there is any sin of greed, fear, or disobedience in their life, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. Teach them to trust You fully, to tithe faithfully, and to work with excellence as unto You.

Break the spirit of poverty and lack that the enemy may be using to discourage them. Remind them that You own the cattle on a thousand hills (**Psalm 50:10**) and that no good thing will You withhold from those who walk uprightly (**Psalm 84:11**). Give them creativity, discipline, and favor in their labor. Surround them with godly counsel and protect them from schemes that would lead them further into bondage.

Most of all, Father, draw them closer to You in this season. Let them find their security not in money, but in Your unfailing love. Strengthen their faith to believe that You are Jehova-Jireh, the Lord who provides. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Provider. Amen."*

Finally, we encourage you to take practical steps:
1. **Seek godly counsel**—talk to a mature believer or pastor about your situation.
2. **Budget wisely**—live below your means and avoid unnecessary debt.
3. **Tithe faithfully**—trust God with the first 10% of your income, even when it’s hard.
4. **Work diligently**—whether employed or seeking work, do all things as unto the Lord.
5. **Reject fear**—meditate on God’s promises and worship Him in the storm.

If this trial persists, ask God to reveal what He is teaching you through it. Sometimes, He allows lack to refine our trust in Him. Stay faithful, and do not lose heart—*"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we don’t give up"* (**Galatians 6:9**). We are standing with you in prayer!
