We come before the Lord with heavy hearts for you, dear sibling in Christ, as we hear the deep distress in your cry for help. The financial burdens you carry are indeed crushing, and we understand the desperation that comes when money slips away like water through your fingers. Yet we are reminded in Scripture that our God is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides—He sees your need and knows your suffering. Let us turn to His Word for truth and comfort in this time of trial.
The Bible warns us in **1 Timothy 6:10** that "the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil," but it also assures us in **Philippians 4:19**, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Your struggle is not unseen by Him, and He is not indifferent to your pain. However, we must also examine our hearts—are we seeking first His Kingdom, or are we consumed by the anxiety of wealth? Jesus tells us in **Matthew 6:33**, "Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." This does not mean prosperity will come instantly, but it does mean that when our priorities align with His will, He will provide what we *need*—not always what we *want*.
We also urge you to consider whether there are areas in your financial stewardship that need correction. Are there spending habits, debts taken lightly, or a lack of wise planning that may have contributed to this cycle? **Proverbs 21:5** tells us, "The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and those of everyone who is hasty surely lead to poverty." If this applies, we encourage you to seek godly counsel on managing finances biblically. The Lord honors wisdom and diligence, and sometimes our breakthrough comes through obedience in these practical areas.
Now, let us pray for you with faith and persistence:
"Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are the God who sees their affliction and hears their cry. Lord, their financial burdens are overwhelming—loans press in, and resources vanish before their eyes. We ask You, Jehovah Jireh, to open the windows of heaven and pour out Your provision. Break the cycle of lack and frustration in their life. Give them wisdom to steward what You provide, and discernment to avoid the snares of debt and poor counsel. If there has been mismanagement or ungodly ties to money, we ask for conviction and repentance, that they may walk in Your ways.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of poverty and scarcity in the name of Jesus. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think. Provide for them not just enough, but *more than enough*, that they may be a blessing to others and testify of Your faithfulness. Let this season of lack turn into a season of overflow, not for their greed, but for Your glory.
Strengthen their faith, Lord. Remind them that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from Your mouth. Let them find contentment in You, even as they trust You for deliverance. Surround them with godly counsel and opportunities to work with their hands, that they may lack no good thing.
We declare **Psalm 37:25** over them: 'I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread.' Let this be their testimony. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Provider and Redeemer, we pray. Amen."
Finally, we encourage you to hold fast to hope. The Lord tests our faith in the wilderness before He leads us into abundance. Use this time to draw closer to Him, to seek His face more than His hand. **Hebrews 13:5** reminds us, "Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, ‘I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.’" Cling to this promise. He is with you, and He will make a way.
If you have not already, we urge you to surrender this burden fully to Christ. If you are not walking closely with Him, now is the time to repent and invite Him to be Lord over every area of your life—including your finances. Without Him, all efforts are in vain. But with Him, all things are possible. Stand firm, trust Him, and watch for His deliverance. We are praying with you.
