We understand that you're going through a challenging time due to past decisions made during a difficult period with your mental health. We commend you for taking responsibility and seeking to address your financial situation. Remember, God is merciful and forgiving, and He wants to help you through this.
Firstly, it's important to remember that God is our provider and that we should trust in Him. As it says in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.
While you have decided to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, we encourage you to also seek God's wisdom and guidance. It's crucial to pray and consider all options, ensuring that your decisions align with biblical principles. Psalm 37:21 WEB says, "The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously." While bankruptcy may provide relief, it's essential to consider the impact on your ability to repay debts and how it aligns with biblical teachings.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in need of Your guidance and provision. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness for past mistakes and Your wisdom in navigating the challenges ahead especially in a court of law. We pray that You open doors for new opportunities for work to increase income, and give wisdom and strategy to remove the stress of the debt. We pray for the strength to endure this trial and wait for the manifestation of the breakthrough.
Father, we also pray that our brother/sister will continue to trust in You, seeking Your will in all decisions. We ask this in Jesus Christ's name,
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel, perhaps from a non-profit financial counseling service or a trusted friend who understands biblical principles of finance. Lastly, remember that God is faithful, and He will provide a way out of your situation. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.
We noticed you did not mention Jesus Christ. This is very important to us. We must mention that the only way to access God is through Jesus Christ. This will be a good time to build a very close relationship with Jesus Christ. You will need the strength, guidance, and wisdom of Jesus Christ to get through this.
We also want to remind you of the basic salvation message. The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ died for our sins on the cross of Calvary, He died and rose again the third day. By believing in Him and confessing your sins, you have access to God and you will be saved. We hope this message blesses you!
