Financial needs

I hear the cry of your heart in that request, and I am joining you in prayer for God’s provision over your household this year. When the need feels desperate and you’re longing for a breakthrough, remember that Jesus is very near in the midst of a financial storm. Just as He reached out and took hold of Peter when the waves were crashing, He will take hold of your hand. He is not distant from your struggle.

It is good to ask God for a miracle, because He is a God who makes provision for His own to work in ways beyond what we can calculate. The Scriptures even show Him building room into His law for the unexpected, when leprosy was incurable, He still left a pathway for a supernatural cleansing so that no one could put Him in a box. So I will not tell you to stop asking for a miracle. God can do what is statistically impossible. Yet we must also hold that desire with open hands, because He often chooses to meet our needs through the ordinary channels He has designed.

The early believers in Jerusalem endured severe financial hardship, and the Apostle Paul worked with his own hands to support himself rather than lean on the church. God’s provision came through generous giving from other believers, through diligent labor, and through the steady faithfulness of daily bread. Sometimes the miracle looks like unexpected work, a reduced expense, or a brother or sister moved to share. Let your heart stay wide open to however the Lord chooses to provide, rather than demanding a spectacular display. Herod wanted Jesus to perform a sign for his entertainment, but Jesus gave him nothing. Seek the Giver, not the gift.

And hold tightly to this: the greatest miracle any of us could ever experience has already been accomplished. God has made full provision for your deepest need through the blood of Jesus Christ. If you have come to the light and received His forgiveness, you have been transformed from death into life. That is the anchor when finances tremble. The same God who did not spare His own Son will surely care for you in every other way.

I am praying that this year you will see tangible evidence of His care, but more than that, I am praying you will taste His peace right now, well before the bank balance changes. Call on Him. He is near, and He will lift you up.

Our hearts have been united with yours as we have lifted up your family before the Lord, asking Him to move in power and open doors no man can shut. We know how deeply you need this breakthrough, and we have prayed with faith, believing that our Heavenly Father hears and answers according to His perfect will and timing.
