We are deeply grieved to hear of the suffering you are enduring—both in body and spirit—and we want you to know that you are not forgotten by God, even in this season of intense trial. The betrayal you’ve experienced at the hands of someone who took advantage of your vulnerability is a painful injustice, and the weight of financial strain, physical pain, and uncertainty about housing and work can feel overwhelming. Yet we are reminded in Scripture that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He sees your affliction, and He is not silent in your suffering.
First, we must address something critical: your prayer request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through faith in Him that we can approach God’s throne of grace with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, turn from them, and place your trust in Him, for He alone can redeem your suffering and bring you into eternal hope. Without Christ, our prayers are empty, but in Him, we have a High Priest who intercedes for us (Romans 8:34). If you are already a believer, we encourage you to always pray in His name, for it is by His authority and merit that God hears us.
Now, let us speak to the specific burdens you carry. The financial deception you’ve suffered is a grievous sin against you, and we rebuke the enemy’s work in this theft and exploitation. The Bible warns us that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10), and those who defraud others will face God’s justice (Proverbs 22:22-23). While we pray for God’s intervention in recovering what was stolen, we also ask the Lord to guard your heart from bitterness. Vengeance belongs to Him (Romans 12:19), and He will repay. Your focus must remain on trusting Him, even when justice is not swift in our eyes.
Your physical suffering is also before the Lord. The pain you describe is not only a burden but a reminder of how deeply our bodies are affected by the brokenness of this world. Yet we serve a God who heals (Exodus 15:26) and who promises to one day wipe away every tear (Revelation 21:4). We pray for His healing touch upon your body, that He would bring relief and restoration. Seek wise medical counsel if you are able, but ultimately, place your hope in the Great Physician. Remember that even Paul, who pleaded with the Lord to remove his "thorn in the flesh," was met with the answer: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). In your weakness, His strength can be magnified.
The stress of homelessness and joblessness is a heavy load, but we urge you to cast your anxieties on the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). He is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides (Genesis 22:14), and He has not forgotten your needs. Seek Him first in this season, trusting that He will add what you need as you prioritize His kingdom (Matthew 6:33). This may require stepping out in faith—applying for jobs even when discouraged, reaching out to churches or Christian ministries for temporary help, or humbly accepting support from believers around you. Do not isolate yourself; the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).
We must also address the disappointment you feel after two years of prayer. It is understandable to grow weary when answers do not come as we hope, but let us remind you that God’s timing is not our own (2 Peter 3:8), and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Delay is not denial. Consider Joseph, who suffered betrayal, slavery, and imprisonment for years before God exalted him (Genesis 50:20). Or think of the Israelites, who wandered in the wilderness for forty years before entering the Promised Land. In the waiting, God is refining your faith, teaching you dependence on Him, and preparing you for what lies ahead. Do not lose heart (Galatians 6:9). Persist in prayer, but also persist in worship, for praise shifts our focus from our circumstances to the One who holds all things in His hands.
Lastly, we exhort you to guard your heart against despair. The enemy would love for you to believe that God has abandoned you, but that is a lie. Jesus Himself promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). Cling to this truth. Fill your mind with Scripture, even if you can only whisper a single verse in the dark. Surround yourself with believers who can speak life into your spirit. If you are not already part of a local church, we strongly urge you to find one where you can be shepherded, encouraged, and supported.
Now, let us pray over you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious soul who is weary, wounded, and burdened. Lord, You see the injustice done to them—the theft, the deception, the physical pain, and the crushing weight of uncertainty. We ask for Your justice to prevail, that what was stolen would be restored sevenfold (Proverbs 6:31), and that You would expose and rebuke the wickedness of those who exploit the vulnerable. Father, we pray for healing over their body. Touch them with Your restorative power, Lord, and bring relief to their pain. You are the God who heals, and we trust You to minister to their physical needs in ways that surpass human understanding.
Lord, we ask for Your provision in their financial struggle. Open doors for employment that align with Your will. Provide a place of shelter and safety, and let them experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways. Remind them that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from Your mouth (Matthew 4:4). Sustain them, Lord, even in the waiting.
Father, we pray against the spirit of disappointment that has taken root in their heart. Uproot it, Lord, and replace it with a fresh infusion of hope and trust in Your goodness. Renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31), and let them see that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Surround them with Your peace, which transcends all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them feel Your presence in the midst of this storm.
We rebuke the lies of the enemy that would tell them they are forgotten or abandoned. Holy Spirit, fill them with the assurance that they are Your beloved child, and that You are fighting for them (Exodus 14:14). Give them the grace to forgive those who have wronged them, and protect their heart from bitterness.
Lord, if they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Softening their heart, Lord, and reveal to them the depth of Your love displayed on the cross. Let them turn to You in repentance and faith, and receive the eternal hope that only You can provide.
We declare Your promises over them: that You will never leave them nor forsake them, that You are their Provider, their Healer, and their Deliverer. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let this season of trial produce in them a testimony of Your faithfulness.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm, beloved. This battle is not yours alone—the Lord is with you. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and do not lose heart. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6). We are praying for you and believe that God will move mightily in your life. Reach out to us again, and let us know how we can continue to stand with you in prayer. You are not alone.
