We are deeply moved by your cry for help and stand with you in this time of financial distress, lifting your needs before the Lord. The Scriptures remind us that our Heavenly Father knows our every need and calls us to cast all our anxieties upon Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Jesus Himself teaches us in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."*
Yet we also know that God often works through His people to provide for those in need. It is not His will for His children to suffer without basic necessities like shelter, and we trust that He will open doors for provision—whether through unexpected blessings, the generosity of others, or opportunities for work. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
We must also address something vital: your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved or through which we approach the Father (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). It is only through faith in Jesus—His death for our sins and His resurrection—that we have access to God’s throne of grace. If you or your mother have not yet surrendered your lives to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 declares, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Without Him, our prayers are empty, but in Him, we have boldness to ask and receive.
Now, let us pray together for you and your mother:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious child of Yours and their mother in their time of desperate need. Lord, You see their empty pockets, the unpaid rent, and the fear of homelessness that weighs upon their hearts. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask You to open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessing upon them. Supply their every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Give them wisdom to steward what little they have, and make a way where there seems to be no way. Touch the hearts of those around them—perhaps even believers in their community—to extend a helping hand. Let this trial draw them closer to You, that they may know You as their Provider and Savior.
If there is any sin in their lives—unbelief, fear, or reliance on anything other than You—we ask for conviction and repentance. Lead them to trust You fully, even in this storm. And Father, if they do not yet know Jesus as Lord, we pray that this crisis would be the very thing that drives them to His saving arms. Let them cry out to Him today and be saved.
We rebuke the spirit of poverty and lack in Jesus’ name, declaring that You are their portion and their inheritance. Restore what has been lost, multiply what remains, and let Your peace guard their hearts as they wait on You. May they testify soon of Your faithfulness, for Your glory alone. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen."*
Stand firm in faith, dear one. Do not give in to despair, for the Lord is near. Seek Him first, and trust that He will provide. If you are able, reach out to your local church or Christian community for practical support—the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). And if you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we implore you to do so today. He alone is your hope in this life and the next. Keep us updated on how the Lord moves in your situation—we are cheering you on in the faith!
